It's probably an exaggeration to say that Coco Chanel (or anyone else) "created" the little black dress. What she's generally credited with doing is popularising the concept of 'the little black dress' as a versatile, affordable wardrobe item, that can be accessorised simply or extravagantly to suit any occasion and will never go out of fashion.
I know I'll get accused of pedantry here (it won't be the first time), but I'm afraid to say that IMHO this is just lazy question setting.
